Are these standard?

Just been watching this Top Gear clip from about 2003-2004:

In it, the C-Max being tested is a Zetec TDCi, however it has auto lights, climate control and heated seats. Where these ever options/standard on C-Max Zetecs or is it just a press car designed to impress? (Also I know its technically a C-Max and not a Focus but this is the only forum bit I really post in)

Not the same car unfortunately. The car in the video was EO53FRJ a C-Max, not a Galaxy, and seems to have been last mot'd in 2013.

Pretty sure the climate was an option at the time, other stuff probably was as they like to show off the available options on press cars and fleet demos.

The early cars often have a lot of options, makes for better demo cars as well as press cars.

I think the C-Max had slightly different spec's to the normal Focus as well though.

Ah cheers guys, knew you could help. I was also wondering as I parked next to a 57 plate Zetec Fiesta which also has auto lights!

keep in mind that some stuff can be retrofitted. I added auto lights etc on to my focus a while back. if in doubt, check etis...

Also, if you want the extras, just pay up for them, usually ends up costing more to retrofit the damn things 😄

I seem to remember that about the early C-Max as well. Ford (and others) used to put in very high spec demos to fleet users. Caused no end of moans when the company car users discovered their actual cars turned out to be "poverty spec"!
