Collins Performance Ecoboost Stage 1

Hello,

I have a MK 7.5 Ecoboost 100ps and am looking at the Collins Performance Stage 1 remapping which takes the engine to 127ps. Does anyone have any experience with this remap?

I know Collins Performance are a respected tuner so their remapping will be as safe as can be. Would anyone expect any issues with this level of remapping as it is only a relatively small power increase so presumably within safe tolerance on the clutch and gearbox.

Thanks.

As long as it doesn't take the torque up ridiculously then should be fine. After all Ford sells the ecoboosts as a 140ps variant.

Collins are doing some cracking christmas deals on the stage 2 remap. Check out on their site, you might change your mind at that price but then you might need to buy some bigger brakes.

Stage 2 is tempting, but I am not actually going to be doing it yet.  I am still doing lots of research as to which is the better option and mapper.  I am not looking for mega gains just a bit more oomph (I know I should have bought the bigger engine size but the purchase was actually a spur of the moment thing).  Finding lots of conflicting information saying that any sort of power increases will knacker the clutch and gearbox whilst others saying that as long as you are not putting crazy torque through it should be okay.

I am also looking at Motorsport Developments in Blackpool for a similar stage 1 remap as they also have a lot of good comments on forums etc.  I am only looking to do a few modifications; a remap and cat-back exhaust.  I just want a little bit more power for passing on the motorway and things.
