1.8tdci rattle/vibration around 1500rpm

After you've let out the clutch and start to accelerate there is a rattle/vibration that starts around 1500rpm to 2000rpm before it smooths out. More noticeable in the lower gears. You cannot replicate the noise by revving the engine alone. I suspected the DMF but the clutch is faultless in operation, with a strong bite and no noises from it at tickover whether in or out of gear? But, I have this noise/rattle/vibration coming from behind the gearstick area. I was wondering if it could be a failed gearbox mount as its in that location?

I two have this and a clunking sound. I suspect either gearbox mount or rear mount,

I'm going to have to get it on the jack and have a route around. But the lower gearbox mount can be difficult to evaluate without removing it and examining

I have only bought my car so didnt get time to check it over a pit. If you have use of a pit it is easy check. Have someone sit in the car started brakes one and in gear have them 'pop' the clutch so as to move engine you should be able to see or hear it.

This has worked for me with other cars.

Yeah, it would be nice to have a 'pit' or a 'four poster' but sadly it's just me with a trolley jack
