CM37
After having problems with my 2015 140 red edition fiesta clutch slipping, I wondered if the mk7.5 St clutch was a like for like fit? Has anyone done this or know if this is possible? Thanks
Eatonm112
Hi CM37 I have looked into this myself and checked a ST clutch flywheel with a flywheel clutch from a 6 speed 1.0 Focus and the parts are not interchangeable. I know of a company based in the UK that might be able to make a new flywheel that will bolt to your 1.0 and take the ST clutch. It would be a special request as they don't list it on their site. http://www.atspeedracing.co.uk/products/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=1084 Also , It might be worth looking into seeing if a clutch cover from a diesel fiesta would fit as they usually have a higher clamping load. When you need more holding power the cover plate ie the part that bolts on the flywheel is upgraded with an item that has stronger springs. How long has your current clutch lasted ?
