Just been down to the local Ford dealer to book the car in for its second service and was told there is a software recall and that I should be getting a letter about it. I haven't as yet. Does anyone know what that's all about?

Have you checked ETIS?  Should tell you exactly what its for.  I'm not aware of anything recent on the 1.5TDCi though, unless they're now being added to the clutch slip recall?

I've just got onto ETIS and this came up '17E09 - 1.5L AND 2.0L DURATORQ DE-SULPHURISATION' What is it?

Is it to do with the DPF? Does it reduce the number of times it regens? I find on mine it wants to regen allot more often than the last Focus did.

Over time the sulphur in fuel accumulates in the exhaust. The pcm update ensures the de sulphurisation is carried out more often , bit like a dpf regen I'm guessing.

That recall has been out for a while now, sure I saw something about it early last year!

When I got my car serviced by Ford a month ago software updates was part of the service. I wonder was this included in my cars software updates? I have a 1.5 tdci.
