Help with fault codes

After receiving excellent recommendations on here for the code reader I ran Forscan this morning.

Bit of history with my fault, about 2 weeks ago my orange engine light came on and so I booked my car in for it's due service and to have this investigated.

3 days prior to the service which took place on Monday the light went out and so I just said could they service the car, I picked the car up on Monday evening and the light was back on.

Rang the Ford dealer  on the way home who said to how it goes over the next few days. The following day the light started blinking so I phoned Ford again and the earliest they could book the car in with a courtesy car is next Monday, I asked if it was safe to drive they said yes.

The car was stuttering a little and a noise a sound coming from the rear of the car. Based on the report below I'm now concerned the catalytic converter may have been damaged?

A quick Google search suggests a new Ignition coil pack may be needed to correct the engine misfire?

If the catalytic converter was damaged would it come up in Forscan?

Anything else to worry about in this report?

Thanks in advance.

coils and leads play up... modern cars last less long than one designed in the 1990s

pre 1992 to 1997 expect 15 years before significant issues

post 97 to 2004 expect 10

post 04 to 2008 expect 7 to 8

post 2010 expect 4

its called designed to fail (DTF) German manufacturers are the best in the world at multiple elements causing multiple failures of various components dying to time (not mileage).  highly illegal but as your government is in with the devil, google and big manufacturers don't expect any redress... and just incase that doesn't make you feel bad... we get parts from the "special bin" where the DTF is 2 years earlier than the rest of the eu - can I prove it - we are all living the dream, I don't need too

P0302 Cylinder 2 misfire.

I had this on a Saab 9-3 Aero. I replaced the coil pack (known weak spot) and it still came on.

Changed the plug, still came on!

Turns out it was the spark plug gap! The system was sooooooo over sensitive and I think the gap was a little bit too small.

Start with the simple, non/low cost options. I'm not a Ford specialist but are your coil packs one for each spark plug or is it one big one? If it's an individual coil, swap it with the coil pack on number 4 cylinder. If your code stays P0302, it's a problem with the spark plug, if it changes to P0304, it's the coil.

Hope this helps.
