F0CUE
The micro switch for my fob to open the door fell off is the only option to solder it back in or is there a way to replace the whole thing without being costly?

You should be able to either resolder the switch, or buy a new one and solder that one, if the pads on the board are ok. You can buy the remote fobs on eBay, and just swap components so you end up with a working key - not sure quite where the immobiliser chip is in the newer Ford flip keys, might be able to just swap new board into old key and then program to car.

F0CUE
Thanks m8 after browsing through eBay I think I have sussed it and only costs just over a fiver for the spare parts. The chip appears to be in the bottom right.
