hillmangimp Posted February 26, 2010 Share Posted February 26, 2010 Sort of related to this but if you fit an aftermarket head unit will the steering wheel mounted controls still work? Is there additional wiring that is required to connect a new unit to the steering controls or will the steering controls just become redunadant if a new unit is fitted? DeeBe Posted February 26, 2010 Share Posted February 26, 2010 They can be made to work with extra wiring, but a lot of this is brand specific (i.e. there are different wores for Sony, JVC, Kenwood etc.) and they run rather expensive.
