Headlight issues

Hey guys,

After a bit of advice if possible. I’ve not long had my Mondeo and at 1st the headlights were working perfectly fine. Now after a few weeks, when they have been on for a few minutes my dipped beam cut out leaving only the sidelights on. The bulbs are the Xenons if this helps.

I don’t have a clue why it does this. Could it be that the bulbs are on there way out or could it be something else. Any advice would be a massive help. Thanks

Thanks, I’ve had a few people mention to test the alternator. Should I give that a go 1st as bulbs and ballast cost a small fortune 😅

By all means test the alternator, but if everything else is working fine and the car is starting well then its unlikely to be the alternator.

Car starts fine 1st time so I won’t bother with that then. Thanks for you help 😁

Just been thinking a bit more about your problem, if both lights are going out together then its not ballast or bulbs but something common to both sides and that as far as i remember is the lighting control module, which if memory serves me is behind the glove box.
