Haggis X
I am repeatedly getting a code P0380 on my fault code reader but I am not getting any other warnings such as the engine malfunction light. the car appears to be running well. Should I be worried? If i should, where should I start? It is a MK4 mondeo 1.8 tdci with approx 112000 on the clock.
Luke4efc
P0380 is a glow plug fault. Are you having problems starting the car in the mornings?
Haggis X
I was having a problem on cold mornings when there was frost, an traced it to a krackerd battery which has now been replaced and everything starts ok.
Luke4efc
Might just be an old code stored (unless you've cleared it and it came back).

Tebba
Firstly I'd remove the lead that goes to each glow plug and test the resistance with a multimeter of each plug, no resistance indicates a faulty glow plug (open circuit) , you only need one to go down and the car will throw this error but the car will generally start OK all be it a tad rough.
