StephenFord
I'm the proud owner of an old Mk2 LX. The lowest trim level available, so I wanted to add a few personal touches. Here's where I am so far... I had installed some new DRLs. This type has both a 'halo', and a center LED.. This what they look like when off... I also had them separately switched in cabin so I can turn either off (Halo & LED) Also added some simple LED sidelights, this photo is purely sidelights on... Also changed rear number plate lights to LED. Also added passenger & driver footwell LEDs just connected to courtesy switch. And finally, added a 12v socket which is connected to 'ignition' rather than the stock permanently live one. I know, not to everyone's taste, but it is my car LOL
dezwez
I love the new DRLs 😊
F0CUE
They look like the same Drl's as mines but my fogs plug directly into the fog plugs and I have used a drl controller module that is auto on off via ignition with dimming when the headlights go on and they have lasted a couple of years now and we're very cheap. Looks great on pre facelift too I guess your fogs are in the headlights in that car? I thought of that place for the power source when you were asking but was thinking stuff would fall in and was thinking of ideas of something raised in that area but the cap does the job well 😁

I have one single rear fog and that's it. The new DRLs have a halo, and center LED which is not a fog light. Indeed, LEDs are exceptionally poor as fog lights as their bright white colour dispersal does not react well to fog, and the old fashioned 'yellow' lights cut through far better. They both come on automatically with the ignition, but I do have the option to turn either off should I want, just the way I wanted the installation.
