So after 10 years in a MK4 golf gttdi and a year in a fiesta st180 I ended up in this black focus sport. The only thing is that it's a bit boring but it has low mileage and is a lot more practical than the fiesta

So after a while I had to start jazzing up the focus starting with the inside

I wanted some bigger wheels as I thought the standard 16s where a bit small

Looking good,

Any plans to fit lowering springs,

I used miracle grow on my 16" snow flake rims and fitted Eibach springs, levels out the window sill;

lowers the rear and lifts the front end a little

But sadly after lots of sanding one of the rims had a dink that didn't look too bad with the tyre on but when removed looked quite big so I put them in the shed for now

Different spring sets for diesel engine cheapest place I got the Eibach set was from fordpartsuk.com as the Eibach set was an optional extra from ford.

Just need tracking alignment done few weeks after lowering to correct camber.

Great advice as always but this has to be on a budget so I have to try and pick up second hand parts as best I can

Tracking is a must on lowered cars for sure

One of the good thing about the MK2 focus was the handling of the standard car although the seats are not intended for spirited driving so that was the next thing to sort

As the inside started to get better the standard stereo looked like something out a van.I always like the look of the Sony stereo all though not the most modern looks great and for £30 bargain

So after the stereo upgrade I managed to pickup some 18 inch Mondeo titanium wheels to go on their not mint condition and probably could do with a refinishing but for now they will have to do

Now the car was coming together I started to notice the rear suspension there was a massive gap it looked ok some times but on some of my pic's it looked terrible

So I started to look for some h&r 40mm springs or Eibach to replace the standard ones I also blanket the egr with a plate to get rid of the flat spot and got my hands on a Ron box for some extra boost

And lucky enough I managed to get some good condition Eibach springs for £80 and after a couple of days I wanted to take my time fitting them. I'm not as young as I was they were on !

So this is where I'm up to springs have been on for a week and I will be going to get the tracking sorted very soon and having a pair of tyres fitted at the same time

In the future I will be painting the calipers wheel spacers and maybe some window tinting

Also I think I could do with a new gear box mount it's a bit soft

And I would like to get a remap one day may be bigger intercooler as I would like more power
