We all have our dream classic cars but which would you go if you had the chance.

Mine has too be the MK1 Ford Granada 3.0 Ghia, Seen in the tv series the sweeny and of course the professionals.

Too me that was a true style icon just love the leather seats and the comfort it offers.

My dad had one in the early 90's also a MK2 and MK3 during his classic ownership days.

All great motors but the MK1 stood out for me in every sense come on just look at it. 😉

What would you have 😉

I would be happy with quite a few classic Ford's to be honest,

Mk1 Escort (with a tuned YB please!)

Mk2 Escort (stick one in that too please)

Series 1 RS Turbo

Series 2 RS Turbo

Capri Brooklands

Sierra Cosworth

Sierra Cosworth RS500

Sierra Sapphire Cosworth

Escort Cosworth

Fiesta RS Turbo

Mk 1 Focus RS (Future classic)

Maybe my numbers will come up on the lotto one day and I will own them all!🙂

I think I've just read a pornographic list there and what a damn fine list it is 😉

Yes them too all.

But here's a Challenge  if there was only one you could choose what would that classic Iconic ford be. 😉

If its a Ford it would be a Granada Estate.

First cars I remember really lusting after were the Mini Cooper S and the Mk 1 Escort Twin Cam, so I'll go for those!😀

I've not seen yet a single DS19 in the classic shows at all, very unique styling for the time I do like it myself.

Oh yes can't go wrong with the Granada. 😉

Looking at the prices so far there getting close too Escort money.

Now were talking some serious business 😉

I think this thread has become my new home site lol.

I was born in the early 90's and do you know what just wish I could live the same era as my old man and just drive or own these ionic cars myself.

I was born in the wrong era classic cars will always be my passion.

and yes including the rust bucket Rover SD1 Vitesse lol.

We were having a coffee in a cafe in Ghent a few years back, when a guy pulled up outside in a beautiful DS. The cafe emptied in seconds as all the other customers (who all seemed to be German) rushed outside to take a look, closely followed by me, leaving the Mrs finishing her coffee alone and wondering what all the fuss was about!

Can you imagine seeing the DS coming out in 1955 so far ahead of its time, the safari came out in 1958 I remember being stunned by the SM in the 70's and that was no where near as radical as the DS

My local dealership (Vospers) currently has a totally original RS200 on display in the lobby.
Gorgeous bit of historical Ford machinery.

Sent from my SM-G965F (S9+)

That's what made these cars as they were, Cars were built too capture the imagination and most importantly win your heart.

over if its interior, exterior or performance in mind depending what certain things you like in car they had it covered.

Just by looking at the styling cures you knew which manufacture built that car without even looking at the badge, That's why classics for me will always be my passion.

They had style, big road presence and of course the wow factor, when you see go past holly beep do you notice them. 🙂

Well and truly ahead of its time.

Keep seeing an Escort Cosworth blasting around town atm, so probably that. However my true dream Ford is an Ultimate Green MK2 Focus RS but I don’t think they’re quite classics yet.

For me I would love a Capri mk1 rs3100. I absolutely adore that car. First found my love for capris back in 2005 when my dad bought a mk3 1.6 with I belive was the pinto engine. He had got for a steal price of £50 and back then had 10 months mot and 10months tax. But very sadly was taken to scrap, reasons was my dad lost his licence then local boys was wanting it off him to put in the demolition derby and he didn't want to see the car being driven with out him behind the wheel. To this day I still don't fogive him for scraping it.
But there are many many other classic ford's I would dream of owning...
Ford escort cosworth
Sierra cosworth
Xr3i
Xr2i
Escort mk1 + mk2
Mk1 transit
Cortina
Anglia
Mk1+2 Granada
Scorpio
Hillman imp

Lancia Stratos would be pretty nice, or a GT40.

Even one of the new “continuation” cars would be an appreaciating classic soon enough.

But for my budget, maybe a Corgi model!
