Doug1702
Hi. Changing the fuel filter on my focus at the weekend. I have the paper element type rather than the metal body filter that the fiesta 1.5tdci has. Before I go ahead with this, can anyone tell me if the focus still suffers the old problem of not priming itself etc and bad stating after a filter change? I have seen on a few places that the new focus model and mine in particular has a electrical pump so will prime itself after leaving ignition on for a minute or so before starting? Is this true? iantt
Depends how old your focus is. Or emmisions level . Edit. Just had a look and 1.5 tdci should have a pump regardless of age. The ones I've done ,17,67 plate have had pump. Just switch ign on for 40secs.
