Rear Quarter Window seals

Hi guys,

New to the forum but used a lot of your info in the past to fix things up on my 2013 Mk3 Focus.

The seals on both rear quarter windows has worn and ripped. This is causing a bit of water coming in and collecting in the side cup holders. Do you know if there is a way to just replace the seals or is it a case of getting a new window put in on with the seal already attached. I have seen it looks like a bit of a ball ache to try and remove the window so would I be best getting a garde to sort if for me?

Thanks in advance.

Alex

Not seen that one before, usually rear quarter glass is secured using a specialist adhesive which isn't really designed to allow the glass unit to be removed.  If you can't find a way of repairing the seal I'd personally be leaning towards getting it replaced professionally otherwise you could end up with an even bigger leak.

can it be done with a load of bathroom sealant?

Can't help feeling if that was my car, I'd be heading to AutoGlass to fix. Even main dealers farm that kind of stuff out to glass professionals... and welcome to the forum.
