Phil3747
It's stopped downloading at 17%....I've tried starting the download again, but nothing is happening 😩
Stoney871
You could try using a standalone downloader program.Windows just fails the download and you have to start over.A downloader would restart from the fail point so less faffing.Take a look at JDownloader.https://beebom.com/free-idm-alternatives/Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
Phil3747
Cheers Stoney...I've just re-booted the laptop and have managed to get it downloading again. If it stops again then I will give that a try 👍

Phil3747
So what does that mean ??? I've just had to go out in the car and the maps have updated to F8 (the industrial estate that I couldn't find on the old maps is now on there) and the satnav tracking seems to work fine !! Stoney871
Basically some lines of code conflict with other lines. It's the computer equivalent of making 1+1 equal 3.Most likely to do with the check file that gets added to the usb drive for uploading back to Ford.Tbh if it seems to be working ok then don't worry.Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
Phil3747
Thanks again, Stoney...will try it out this week and see how it goes 👍
jambmoz
I’ve given up completely, tried everything that’s been suggested. The sync system isn’t even picking up the flash drive now[emoji22]Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Stoney871
All the tar.gz files should be in their original syncmyride folder. You've extracted the files down one folder too far.Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk

alexp999
You should be able to move them into the SyncMyRide folder no problem
Stoney871
Indeed, just create an empty folder with the correct name and drag / drop all the tar.gz files into it.Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk

jambmoz
Should look like this-Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk Thanks, it seems to have separated when I moved it to the root of the drive. Will try and fix it later, there must be an easier way Ford could come up with[emoji2369]Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
ianincheshire
Quote Indeed, just create an empty folder with the correct name and drag / drop all the tar.gz files into it. I have to do that all the time. Ford don't use the correct 'relative path' format when they zip up the files, so whilst unzipping works in Windows, if you try it with Linux or a Mac then the unzip creates files with the full path names including SyncMyRide\. So, since I use Linux almost exclusively, I have to rename and move the files manually. The update works fine having done that though.
