Hi All I have had this focus for 8 month,I wanted a Focus hatch auto with cruise control so here we are,  now for the things done so far fitted 17" Mondeo titanium alloys and removed bonnet lock and replaced it with mk4 mondeo lock that operates  from inside car no more sticking key in grill, changed stereo for after market touch screen, fitted Lockwood dials and changed leds in instrument cluster to blue also done heater control removed annoying auto ac when you put control to screen ( i wanted to switch ac on when I want it on ) sprayed gear selector surround and screen switch surround ( doing stereo surround soon ) Fitted reverse camera and upgraded number plate lights to led, changed headlights to tinted black with 130% ultra bright lights , also light tint on rear lights.

Jobs that I am doing is changing mirrors to face lift with indicators, also fitting running lights eagle eyes

Hello Tekman
I would like to change the colour of my instrument cluster aswell. Would u be able to tell me how u did it. I have the MK2 focus Ghia hatchback on a 56 plate.

A few things I done to the car I have retrofitted a few bits as well. Today I did the radio conversation to the round type.285659264d6ce79005eb24996a0052ba.jpg

I also fitted heated leather seats which did not come with my car but the wiring was there because it was a Ghia . dbb6f97b393e5afae8408e334aa70334.jpg

Also upgraded alloy wheels and I lowered itb41bc47c66bb64f9bfed5cd566831f98.jpg

Also the lights

Hi Wayne

Yes I agree air con on mine getting some attention I disabled the switch that turns air con on when you put it to screen made it so I switch it on when I want it on.

I have now finished all interior lights and wow it look`s amazing the main window and mirror switch was a bit of a challenge had to bend tabs over on the smd to solder on but works ok

Hello Alan
Very good job mate. I have made a post on here to see if anyone knows the sizes of the o rings for the two lines that connect to the compressor.

But did not get a replay unfortunately. It means a trip to the stealership.

If you need the refrigerant removed from the car Kwikfit gave me a good deal you could try them and see how u get on.

For sure I will be doing the dash light change but I have a VW Passat and it as the blue lights installed not sure I want both cars with the same colour lights. So I might have to choose another colour

Regards

Wayne

Hi Wayne

Crazy led`s do different colours My son has facelift Red St and all his are red but he got bright white dials which do look good I was think of blue on all switch`s and white on instrument but seeing a blue one made my mind up but its what you like that count`s mate.

I dont know size of O rings but will say that Dealership are the best because you get the right rings and you don`t want to get it all built up and try filling it for O ring to pop. but I do admit I re-newed my sunroof rubber seal and it cost me £75 dealer part only wasn`t pleased but needed doing

Cheers

I think that the white leds would be perfect. to be honest I would rather have the white in the Passat and the blue ones in a Ford .

I would not even try and mess with the Passat dash lights. That would be asking for trouble .

It would not get as far as me filling the ac system to check for leaks. I have a vacuum pump which would tell me if it is sealed before filling it with refrigerant.

Thanks for all the advice mate I will keep you updated because I might need your help when doing the dash lights.

Hi Mate sorry to bother you. My 2006 TDCI is the same colour as your car and I am having to replace the osf wing. Can you tell me what the official name is for this colour?

Thanks

Brian

Tekman hasn't been on the forum for a while.

I think it's Tonic blue though.
