Looking for information on changing my alternator and cant seen to find any information on the topic hope someone can help with a link or pictures many thanks in advance .my first of many posts 🤗🤗

It's one of the easiest to do, shouldn't take more than 45 mins to do. Im guessing it will be easier to remove from underneath. So remove undertray, remove the alternator belt by moving tensioner(with a spanner on the bolt) .then remove 2 bolts that hold tensioner in place. Unplug the alternator wires and remove the 2 bolts holding the alternator on.

You sure it's the alternator and not the tensioner noisey?

Hi,

could anyone remove/put the alternator in this way?

I tried/started to do so, but then I observed that the AC compressor is blocking the way to remove the alternator underneath. Even with the compressor removed (just from the place and the hoses still there) seemed insufficient space to remove the alternator. I said "seemed" because I was in a hurry and wasn't sure that I could finish the job in time, so I put all of them back.

My purpose was to replace the alternator with a higher current (150A) as to install supplemental electric heater - PTC..

Thank you.
