Central Locking

Hi,

I have Y reg Ford Focus LX without remote key.

The problem is most of the times the locks are controlled (open and close) through drivers door and front passenger perfectly. But sometimes the key does not operate the central locking at all that is only opens the door the key is in. Could it be the key problem or the door lock itself and if its the door lock which one. Any one had similar problem and share the experience.

Secondly, while driving you can hear some actitity with door locks system clicking, although the door is not locked or unlocked automatically. Why could this be.

sounds like its a fasult with the wiring could be as simple as a broken wire check the plug between the door and the front pillar to see if any are corroded green or broken
