Shadow1066
Hi All, I recently had the fluid changed on my powershift gearbox. The changing seems a lot better, but its developed a whining noise. You can hear it even in neutral or park. Would not using the correct fluid cause this, as I took it to an Auto gearbox specialist who only charged me £240 Inc vat and also reset the software in the gearbox. Its more noticeable between 2&3k revs Any help, ideas guys Cheers
Kawasaki kid
I would take it back to them to listen to it as they have worked on the box. Had mine done yesterday and as you say the oil / filter change makes a noticeable difference to the box.

rbitton782
GWI have also DCT450, before replacing something expensive, replace the gearbox oil+filter, I'm pretty sure the whining will stop. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Shadow1066
Had a good listen under the bonnet today while my wife held the throttle at 2k revs. I put my ear on the airbox, and that seems where the whining noise is coming from. Had a new power steering pump fitted last week so that's all quiet. Any idea why the airbox is making a noise guys Cheers
rbitton782
GWTake a look at the pic that i added, sometimes, the air box doesn't seat well with the adapter. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
Shadow1066
Thanks mate, will check that out in the morning. Just wondering if when I had the gearbox fluid changed they didn't put the airbox back quite right. Mmm 😀
Kawasaki kid
Airbox has to be removed to fill the gearbox .
