x flow rebuild advice

Hi I own a mk1 fiesta 1300GL with only 60000 miles on it so I want to keep this engine. 

she's been sat in my garage for the last 6 years now and I want to get it back on the road.

I'm looking for a good garage near chesterfield or Sheffield to get the best out of the little 1300 .

or your guys advice on what running gear I could put in it. 

 

I will also want the car 're sprayed too so want a  good sprayer if any one can recommend

with regard to the engine it is not clear if you are aksing about getting it running like new, or running better then new eg. tuning it with different camshaft / carb etc.

yes that's what I'm thinking carbs came ect

There's a good place around clay Cross but I can't remember the name (for the engine).  It probably needs a strip down and overhaul, you can do most if it at home but it's worth having the bores checked.

 

If you want to go faster, the Mk1 XR2 had the Escort 1600 cross flow in it.

 

With a decent exhaust, carbs and decent ignition you should be able to get 75BHP without changing anything inside.
