Barky
Hi Has anyone been disappointed by the new mk7 fiesta diesel? I'm going to purchase a new fiesta diesel this month but it would be nice to hear some proper reviews. I am actually now thinking of a 1.6 Tdci 3 door titanium (with x pack and dress pack) or is this just a waste on a diesel. What would you all recommend? Thanks
aph1101
Well, I have a 1.6 diesel and I think it's the bee's knees! Plenty of torque from low down (1500 revs or so) and good top end grunt. 3rd/4th gear full throttle is an absolute blast. On paper, it doesn't look particularly quick, but I have never really wanted for more power. MPG is not as good as quoted. We've done 5000 miles and MPG settles somewhere around 51mpg with relatively hard driving. Hope that helps and if you have any other questions, just ask! Hi Thanks for that aph, its nice to hear some re assuring reviews. Is it a noisy engine though? I see you have the titanium as well (in a very nice colour). I like the look of the zetec s but prefer the titanium spec so i was swaying on the titanium (with x pack and dress pack, money permitting) Am i just wasting my money or does that sound a good choice? Especially for resale value?
aph1101
The engine isn't really very noisy. The only times you notice it is when it has just been turned on and is cold under hard acceleration. Apart from those times, it is fairly quiet. If it were me, I would go for a dressed up titanium...the spec is definitely worth having in my opinion. I do agree that the colour is very nice indeed, and I can report that it scrubs up very well! :)

As i've got a young daughter i was going to order a 5 door but after seeing a 3 door with the dress kit i think i'm more swayed to that. 5 door more practical tho.. hmm decisions decisions.....
