Mike09011
Hello, this is my first post on here but I have been using the many posts from members for two years since I bought myself a 1992 XR3i barn find project so I'll start with a thank you. All has been going well despite the odd couple of hick-ups, all until I hit this little issue.... When using the original TPS the car starts on the button but will not idle, it requires some throttle angle to keep it from cutting out. If I then disconnect the TPS with the engine running the car settles down into to very stable and steady idle but it will not start if I crank it whilst it is disconnected. When I replaced the TPS with a new (eBay bought!) one it does not start but I'm assuming the ECU needs to see something to prime the fuel system so this doesn't make sense if it's actually connected. Have I just bought a poor replacement that is not up to scratch or am I missing something?
