History of old light-up Escort sign from 1989

Hello,

my name is Andreas and I´m driving an Escort XR3i MK6. I am also collecting all sorts of special items.

I just signed up to this forum, to hear something about this old sign I got.
It is double-sided and lights up with an old fluorescent tube. A sticker inside is marked with 1989. A blue power-cord is attached and it looks pretty nice.
It is made of plastic with a blue metal frame around.
I tried searching the web but found no second one.
Can someone tell me about it? For example where it hung?
