Replace SYNC 2 on 2015 Focus Titanium X with aftermarket touchscreen system

Good evening all,

New to the forum and I have recently purchased the above and it came with much hated SYNC 2. I would like to update to SYNC 3, but would it be easier to install an aftermarket touchscreen system?

 

I have the rear parking camera & sensors/active park/climate control/Nav etc, would this be able to be connected to an aftermarket system?

 

I have NO car maintenance experience! However, I would like to do more with my car. I spend nearly 10 hours a week in it driving backwards and forwards to Portsmouth from Hull..

Upgrading from Sync 2 to 3 seems easiest. The screen and the electronic module (APIM) are changed and there’s a new USB socket if you want to use apple play. Some reconfiguration in Forscan May be required.
