skimobeats
Hi Everyone, I imagine this has probably been covered several times over, so I apologise in advance. I have searched everywhere trying to find a straight answer but everything ive found references the newer head unit. Anyway, I have just bought a Focus 07 plate, it has the square Focus factory head unit (6000cd I believe, like the one in the image attached) in at the moment. Is it just the standard sized Double Din or do I need a Fascia as well? Want to get a Pioneer double din head unit, is there anything else that I will need? I take it as with most cars ill need the Pioneer to Ford cable adaptor? I have the control stick (the one next to the indicators) will the Pioneer to Ford lead allow me to still use the volume controls etc? Or do I need anything lead? Is there anything else ill need? Again apologies, im a bit of novice with this so any help with links where to purchase from would be amazing. Thank you in advance, any help is very much appreciated. dtulip8
Yes it is a standard double din size, with my pioneer I can’t remember exactly but I think I had to plug in an adapter for the aerial and definitely for the stalk controls but it was done about 2 years ago. JW1982
The front of hese Original square shaped Focus MK2 radio's is actually quite a lot wider than the 2-DIN standard. To install a 2-DIN radio you need to install an adapter plate to fill the gap between the Ford dashboard panel and the 2-DIN radio.
dtulip8
Ah yes that’s true actually, I completely forgot about that as I did mine quite a long time ago.
