Hi

Have a fiesta 7.5 and it has started beeping 3 times when starting, not every time thought. Does anyone have any ideas as to why?

Thanks.

So now it's started saying engine oil pressure stop safely. Goes off straight away tho and no warning lights stay on. Any ideas? Have checked oil level and all is fine there.

If your battery is ok and the warning goes off straight away it could be a sign that:

- filter is playing Up and slowing initial flow of oil

- oil pickup in the sump is becoming clogged. A common problem if wrong oil was used at some stage

- oil pump is on the way out

When was your last oil and filter changed and did they/you use the correct oil?

Not sure when it was last changed to be honest, I think over a year. It is going in Saturday for oil and filter change. Hopefully that sorts it.

Same problem oil light comes on bleeps 3 times goes off and stops, car drives fine, then a week later oil pressure low warning comes on dash, took to garage had oil filter and oil change along with oil pressure sensor switch. Car seemed ok driving home from the garage.  This morning started the car and once again 3 bleeps, no warning on dash yet though.  Would this mean it requires a new oil pump?

If it’s the 1.0 l ecoboost, you shouldn’t use flushing oil at oil changes, can be flushed with recommended grade engine oil .

Flushing oil can degrade the wet belts

Mine has never beeped/chirped on locking. Is it in Forscan or as simple as holding lock/unlock together on the remote untill your car reacts as some web suggestions say
