Ford Focus MK4 - Ford Breakdown Cover

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I'm a very happy recent new owner of a 2018 (new shape) ST Line Focus.
I purchased the car at 8 months old through a ford dealer. I queried the breakdown cover that new cars come with and was told it was 1 year from new.

It's my intent to get it serviced with Ford and get the free breakdown but as I'm low mileage it will be at the 2 year mark in line with service intervals.

Is it correct that I only get 1 year breakdown?  With my MK3 the service interval was yearly so this wasn't an issue.

Thanks for your help in advance
Mark

Yes, but if you go for the "convenience check" at 12 months you get the breakdown cover extended for 12 months. I only do around 6,000 miles a year and decided to have an oil/filter change at the same time anyway.
