I have recently purchased a very late registered 3 door 1.6 MK1 (2005) with 50K on the clock. It is immaculate in every respect except that the previous owner was a heavy smoker. I have washed the cloth seats with a carpet cleaner to good effect, how ever the smell still lingers. I can see that an ST had a half leather interior and they regularly come up on ebay. Will this interior fit without issues? I notice there appears to be an electric switch on the drivers seat, doe s anyone know what this is for and will the loom be there in my motor? Will any other Marks interior fit?

    Sounds like a nice motor photos would be appreciated.I wouldn’t be to concerned with the odour myself with regular cleaning and scent atomisers I’m sure it will disappear over time👍

    I clay barred and Waxed it the other day, the paint work came up nicely. I'll get some shots next time I wash it. 

    After a carpet cleaner has been at it it's good for a day or two and much improved. I'll persevere if I have to, but leather does appeal.

    The electric switch at the side lowers or highers the seat👍

    Ah right. Shouldn't be too difficult to wire something in if it's not in the standard loom.
