james_60 Posted March 9, 2010 Share Posted March 9, 2010 Hello I have been driving my g/f's Fiesta It is a 54 plate Fiesta Finesse with the 1.25 engine. Basicly the revs drop at junctions and the car nearly always stalls its as if it idles too low. What sensors can cause this problem. Jack_P Posted March 9, 2010 Share Posted March 9, 2010 My brother had something like this on his ST, think it was the airflow mass meter plug had fell out and wasnt getting the right reading so eventually cut out! L S Auto Repairs Posted March 10, 2010 Share Posted March 10, 2010 Idle speed control valve, controls the revs at idle and stops the car from stalling when the revs drop on deacceletion. or throttle position sensor which senses the amount your pressing the pedal and sends a signal back to the PCM, that comes part of the ETB (electronic throttle body) ford have a recall for this which envolves replacing the wiring loom, ETB and PCM (Powertain control module) later calibration. hope that helps Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
