Guy Heaton Posted July 5, 2019 Share Posted July 5, 2019 Anyone know if the sync3 upgrade can be done with ignition on and the battery hooked up to a charger? I used to upgrade my satnav in my old car like this, putting it on charge meant it didn't auto shutdown when it detected low battery. Comares2001 Posted July 5, 2019 Share Posted July 5, 2019 That's a lot of trouble to go and I'd be careful because of the intelligent battery monitor on this vehicle. ianincheshire Posted July 5, 2019 Share Posted July 5, 2019 As @Comares2001 says, a Sync software update (as opposed to a map update) only takes about 20 mins.
