My 42000 mile 2014 Focus ST stutters/hesitates when cold, its only noticable on low throttle openings at slow speed, once warm its gone or not apparent.....aside from that the car runs well. its well serviced and isnt throwing out any DTC codes.......Any adivce ?

My 14 plate focus st does exactly the same. It’s nothing to worry about. Naturally they idle rough regardless of the weather/temp.

Turns out Ford have done a recall on the US Spec focus st mk3 but the European model doesn’t show anything in relation to this. This was because of very rough ideling and sometimes stalling.

Mine idles rough, but never has it stalled. I’ve just had a full services on mine a few days a go and the new spark plugs seem to have eased the ideling. Don’t worry about it :)
