Mic works for half a second. Mic or Software?

I have recently upgraded from non bluetooth to Sync 2 thanks to Luke Anderson's cracking guide. I've managed to get everything else working (in the end) but the Mic cuts out after half a second when answering or calling on the phone. My wife is about to strangle me as the only way to test is to call her. Looking through Forscan and Focccus I can't see a microphone option.

It seems a factory reset is needed when there is issues with the mic.

  1. On your phone, choose bluetooth from the Settings menu, then select SYNC and delete it. 48

  2. On the SYNC screen, press the Phonebutton. The SYNC screen will display either:

    • Connecting
    • No phone paired or connected
  3. Press the Arrows or Seek buttons until Return displays on the screen.
    Press OK.

  4. Press the Arrows or Seek buttons until Advanced displays on the screen.
    Press OK.

  5. Press the Arrows or Seek buttons until Master Reset displays on the screen.

    Press OK.

  6. Confirmation message displays on the screen.
    Press OK.

  7. After completing a master reset you will need to pair your phone to SYNC

Followed the instructions and did a master reset, still no joy. Thanks for the info though.
