Those horrible nuts

Hi

Just had some tires. had a wheel shimmy. Gave me a re balance. all good. Just noticed one of the stupid used for years caps is missing.

I can buy another for pence. But the brace seems quite loose on the nut with the missing cap. I have no sockets.

My question is can I remove the damaged nut with the ford wrench? Or will it round off? If so what size wrench will remove it.

Thanks

They're 18mm without the cap.  Annoying as most generic wheel bars are 17 & 19mm.

Yeah they're all 17 and 19!

Will the 19 round it off?

Thanks for the replies

Depends how tight it is unfortunately.  As long as it's a 6 sided socket and you make sure its dead square on the nut and only put direct upwards pressure on it (less chance of slip) you should be ok but I take no responsibility if it slips or rounds.
