Engine noise when warm

 Hi I have just bought a mk3 focus 1.6 & done about 2k since I have had it the mileage on it is 54k I have noticed there is a noise like a turbo noise whistling every 2 seconds on tick over when the car is warm as you can does anyone know what this could be ?

    Which 1.6?  Petrol Ti-VCT?  It's likely to be the purge valve solenoid operating if it's an electrical type whine.

    Oh ok, diesels don't have a purge valve so its not that lol.

    Are you noticing any other problems or just this noise?

    Just the noise nothing else might be nothing but I have never experienced it before so dont know what it is only comes on when been on abit of a run
