Best Mileage?

Featured Replies

Bit of a random topic.

What's the best mileage you've gotten from your car? I manged to pull 68.3mpg out of the hat this weekend with a 2015 Focus 1.5 Diesel (120 variant) doing over 400 miles on a mixture of mostly dual carriageway but including city driving as well, the trip computer showed the final range is estimated at 750-780miles varying.

Not that bad for an high mileage engine!

Here`s my effort in my 2011 Focus 1.6 tdci.   Last year in June I did a few motorway trips up and down & the computer came out with 71.4 mpg. Can`t get anywhere near that this year it averages around 61mpg but have`nt been on many long motorway runs. Still can`t grumble.009.thumb.jpg.fd6946585cf509c399c766dfe14998ce.jpg

Might be worth doing a engine clean as that might help, but that's a great wee return.

Best I've ever achieved, over a tankful, calculated brim to brim:

Diesel: 60mpg (Audi A3 2.0TDI 140ps)

Petrol: 53mpg (SEAT Leon 1.8tsi 180ps, SEAT Mii 1.0 60ps and Fiesta 1.0 ecoboost 140ps)

Got 56.5 on 250mile trip to Cleethorpes the other week. Full car and boot, on my 1.0 125 17 plate. Thought that pretty good considering the weight.

Pretty good considering the Satnav was sending you in the wrong direction as I recall!😀

Well if we're just using the trip computer figures I'm currently on 67mpg average...

Realistically it'll be around 60mpg when calculated over a tankful.

Yeah true lol

Filled up part way on a journey today and when I arrived at my destination glanced at the trip and saw the figures below. Lousy photo I know as it's still blazing sunshine here, but what a coincidence - bet you couldn't do that if you tried!

I got 26mpg out of my ST on the motorway today 🤷‍♂️. Basically driving a diesel 😂.

Yes this is accurate, I checked brim to brim fill up using the same pump. 110 MPG on a trip Preston to Bristol in a 2003 Nissan Micra 1.5 dci  last year
