Focus mk1 wheel bearing issue

Featured Replies

Hi, I had been getting a loud whining from the front of wheels which only got louder at higher speed, so jacked up the front and checked for play, the drivers side had alot of play and a small click when moving side to side, but other side wasn't bad at all.
Got a day off, managed to get the hub knuckle out after finding a bad ball joint and having to replace lower control arm as well now.
Found a local mobile mechanic who could get new bearing pressed that day as all other garages were too busy.
After getting it back and re-assembling, I found that the noise was exactly the same, the same amount of play (and the little click).

My question is would it be the hub that is screwed or maybe he didn't actually change it and only swapped circlip as i could that was new.
Any suggestions would be appreciated, cheers 🙂
