Radio interference

Recommended Posts

I have a 2009 1.6 Ford focus.  I Have checked on here but can't seem to find a definitive answer.  When I plug anything (dashcam, Santa etc) into either cigarette lighter or 12v socket in centre console I get massive interference on my FM radio.  I have tried different chargers but still the same, should I try upgrading to a more expensive charger or is there something else I can try.  TIA

Budget chargers produce RF interference due to less shielding, a decent one should improve the situation vastly.
Also advisable to buy good quality cables as well, cheap ones can work like an antenna and actually transmit the interference as well.
