Confused with Roof Rack fittings

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just a bit worried.Have bought a new roof rack for my MK2.5 Zetec S and just gone to have a look under the cap that protects the fitting area but found this.I know some use a sharp knife to cut an area but every vid i have seen doesnt look like this.Have i got problems where i cant fit it or do i try to cut this area out ? Thanks so much all,
