Removing dog guard

I recently bought a mk3 Focus estate. It came with a dog guard fitted. I think it’s an official Ford one, fitted into the mounts in the roof and floor.

Can someone advise how to remove it please? I can’t work out where to start.

    From memory you pull up the struts from the floor and they give in the middle that allows them to be detached then you can slide in the top side fixings to allow removal.
