53 Focus zetec Aircon issue

Featured Replies

Hi

I had the car regassed and the Aircon worked just fine, it was actually super cold! After a week it stopped working so I suspected a leak somewhere. I decided to check the obvious like fuse and relay just in case but they are both fine. I noticed the clutch was not engaging in the compressor hence checking fuse and relay. I then thought I should check voltage at the connection but there is nothing, not a flicker! I wonder if the pressure switch would prevent the system from running if my assumption of a leak is correct? Can someone please point me in the location of the pressure switch so I can check it is working or not?

If the pressure switch has detected no gas will it prevent voltage reaching the clutch or is it a separate process?

TIA

Changy
