Service and spanner light

Hi,

I have a ford fiesta zetec s 1.0 ecoboost (2014)

After driving for 2/3 miles the "service req" message comes up on the mfd as does the spanner light. I have took it to a local garage and they done a diagnostic  check and its not displaying any fault codes...any ideas?

When was it last serviced?

I bought it 6 weeks ago and it was serviced before i picked it up.

sounds to me like it is just the periodic service warning as opposed to a fault. 

Turn on the ignition (not the engine).

Hold down the foot brake and accelerator (all the way down) for twenty seconds.

then remove your feet from the pedals.

It should now be ok.

I do this on my car as I do my own servicing.

But it never coincides with when I service it, so it always comes on at some point between services.

they dont come if i just turn the ignition on (without starting it) only when i have done a few miles,if i stop the car and start driving again it will once again come on after a few miles... its got me stumped!

My 2013 fiesta eco is doing the same thing, no fault codes showing.
