Hi,

Could someone tell me exactly what is the oil spec for my car (Focus Mk3 1.5TDCi 118HP).  I am not looking for the the high spec stuff, just so long as it meets the manufacturets specs.

0w-30 is the one you want, comma say it’s designed for Ford’s after 2014.

my 2015 fiesta 1.5tdci came with a card saying ford reccomend castrol, It is headed Ford 2015 models and shows the oil for all models. For Diesel Fiesta and Focus it says 5w30. It only says 0w30 for Kuga and New Mondeo.   But the handbook for my diesel fiesta says 0w30  so it depends where you look it up. I use 5w/30 Catrol Magnetec. Usually about £25 for 4 litres in Asda etc. Sometimes on offer for about £20.

We use the search on the Comma site at work Link, or if we aren’t sure then ring the local motor factors. Both come up with the 0w-30 for mine.

Hi ya if your focus is 2015 or later then its 0/30 grade oil. As i used to service my mates focus. You can double check on the castrol oil checker site by putting your car reg in 😀
