Rookie_Pilot
Does anyone know how the water circuit for the cabin heater matrix works? I'm trying to find out why the water entering the matrix is very hot (engine temp circa 98 deg C). When the cabin temperature dial is turned to cold is there a valve which shuts off/diverts the water from the engine which prevents hot water entering the matrix. The matrix feed pipe seems to come straight out of the engine near the coil pack side and enters the matrix, then out of the matrix into the oil cooler mounted on the front of the engine. Thanks, Steve.
mjt
The matrix always receives hot coolant. There is no valve, the temperature control is done entirely by diverting the airflow.
