Hello everybody!

MODEL: Ford Focus 2 1.6 TDCI 2007 80 KW 109 power

The sound appears all the time and constant, metal on metal sound.

I have a sound record:

Why is this sound appearing? How to fix it?

Thanks!

Sounds like most diesels I've heard but could be a pulley bearing cos sounds rotational.

Where do I find this pulley? Its from engine inside? or its an accesory?

Hmm Lifter/tappet type sound similar to my petrol 1.6, just a bit heavier.

Just sound like a normal noisy diesel engine to me, but I've always had petrol engines so I'm no expert sorry.

Thank you all!

Does anyone know why is causing this sound?

Fwiw, this is my 1.6 petrol. Sounds worse on camera but it's just tappets/lifters. Mines not in the best of health really but it's okay. For the diesels I've seen first hand some of the oil additives can be good to quieter them off a bit, such as the sea foam that the Americans use, we have a similar one from Wynns (I forget the actual product) and Halfords have it for about £5. Worth a go for so little if it botheres you!

Sounds completely normal to me and identical to my 1.6 tdci!

If you mean the constant metal tapping noise that's just diesel knock.  It's completely normal, not a problem at all.  It's just caused by the way diesel burns compared to petrol.
