hi have just noticed a black wire hanging down under the front bumper with an L shaped bracket on the end of the wire also my esb light has come  any ideas where it may have come from.many thanks.

The extra sensors for the ESP are in the steering wheel (angle sensor), and under the driver's seat (yaw sensor). The ABS/ESP earths are back in the engine bay, on the frame side members. Not quite what they are, I suspect near the wheel arches.

The only items I know of in the front bumper area (in front of the radiators) are the horn and the ambient temperature sensor.

If you have EHPAS, the pump is under the driver's side headlamp, see if it will reach there, but I would expect to put the steering light on, not ESP.
