Hrvoje
Hi guys. Got a brand new mk4 ecoboost 1.0 l focus. I have a question about the suspension. It seems very very stiff in the rear, and even small bumps in the road are felt really hard in the rear of the car. Small inperfection on the road can cause a very loud and hard bump as if the car was too heavy and the shock absorbers cant handle it, but it's empty and i cant understand it. Is this normal for this car? It way harder than any i've driven (drove mk2 focus before) and it is only in the rear suspension that it bumps that hard :/
Tizer
The MK2 Focus had Multi-link independent rear suspension but your car has Twist Beam or Torsion Beam to give it another name. Multi-link is very sophisticated but Twist Beam is not, so maybe that is why you feel the difference. The tyre size can make a difference as well and obviously check that the Tyres are not over inflated and that the spare wheel and Jack are fixed as they should be.
Hrvoje
Thank you. It wasn't that tho.. I went to the dealer and both rear shocks are faulty. Rotten luck i guess. They will change them. Love the car otherwise.
