Dashboard not fitted correctly

Hi there. I have just purchased a new focus 1.0 ecoboost ST Line and I have noticed that the dashboard is not correctly fitted. On the drivers side there is a 2/3 cm gap between the windscreen pillar and the corner of the dashboard.....it looks likes the dashboard should sitting on a mount in the corner. My question is should I ask the garage to fix it or is there a risk of damage and possible creaking noises after they refit the dashboard. It's really annoying me as I know it's there. Thanks

    Yep back to the dealer of your not happy but be prepared for bullshit

    Yeah was thinking I'll get the "if we pull out the dash could make things worse" line from the garage.....but it's a brand new car......dash should be fitted correctly !!!

    Hi if your dealer is not willing to fix the car I would reject the car

    Just get them to show you the same spec car with the same problem.

    If none of them have the problem they have to fix it, or reject the car

    On driving my new Escort RS Turbo (back in 1990), the drivers mirror has a minor vibration in it at speed. Got the usual "they all do that..." Pointed to the manager's RS Turbo and asked to go for a spin. Well, what do you know, they replaced the mirror for me. It turns out they all didn't do that after all... 🤣
