Engine malfunction light display

Featured Replies

Hi All.

New member. I’m after advice please. My Ford Focus (09 1.8 TDCI) has just had the engine malfunction warning light come on twice after I was parked up. I’d just driven 70 miles mostly dual carriageway at a decent speed. Not had this happen before. Each time it came on I turned the engine off and restarted. The 3rd time I started it no warning lights. I drove a couple of miles no issues. No limp mode.

Its got 130500k and I’ve had the belts and all injectors changed at 100k.

Any advice would be great. I’m taking it in to local Ford tomorrow.

Please move over to correct forum if this is in the wrong place.

Could be literally anything, you need to read the codes. Since you're taking it to Ford tomorrow they'll charge you a bomb for the privilege anyway so little point doing anything unless you have a code reader (preferably Forscan).
