Autostart problem

I have a Ford focus on a 64 plate . With the autostart active when I stop in traffIc the car will not restart. It takes 3 or 4 attempts to get it started so we have to disable the autostart as soon as we start the car. Now  whenjoy we go to start the car it's taking 4 or 5 attempts to start any ideas?? And can the autostart be permanent disabled

    Have your battery professionally tested under load

    Its an all round starting problem then not just auto start, as above aproper load test on the battery is a good starting point, chance are its the original battery and is now oast its best, also when was it last serviced?
